Njowaan means Swing in Wolof. The universal concept of a cycle, coming and going, leaving and returning. What do we leave behind and what do we bring back? The act of swinging is an act associated with the innocent child. But this act is a fundamental principle for sharing. The swing can serve as an illustration of the African restitution and how cultural heritage and cultures move, 

It’s a thought-provoking story about a swing that has stopped, interrupting the natural process, arrested development, and missed innovation. Explorers and colonizers have for centuries focused on building static bridges which in hindsight was a one-way drainage construction, the gravitational force of the swing is based on balance and equality. Njowaan is a silent play exploring the power of the Swing.
